Travelodge by Wyndham Kamloops Mountview

The staff were super helpful. I had accidentally entered the wrong dates when booking an additional night through a 3rd party website, and the manager sorted it all out for me. It saved me a lot of money, so I'm really grateful. The hotel itself is wonderful too and good value for money.

It's an old building with a renovation from at least 20 years ago but I got the fairly priced King suite with Jacuzzi and it was well worth it. No surprises like bed bugs and all in all, an adequate breakfast and a friendly front desk.

This was a clean and well maintained hotel. Our room was properly sized and neatly arranged. The customer service was top notch, the check-in and check-out was quick.The breakfast was ok as well. They could do better with cleaning the surroundings. For the price, I will give this hotel 5/5

I would err on the side of having this review be more of a 3.5-3.7 range but opted for a 4 instead of a 3 because I can see that they are trying to do the best with what they have, and overall the place is fine. With what we enjoyed about our stay: it was not advertised to us anywhere that booking a suite included cookware, prep utensils and a modern hot plate. They are not high-end but it was a much appreciated and welcomed surprise that they were included. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable upon checking in/out as well as in passing around the hotel, and the room was surface-level clean. I appreciated how each of our TVs had Chromecasts to be able to broadcast content from our phones. Internet was reliable with standard speeds that allowed for multiple connected devices, and the included breakfast offered fresh waffles in addition to the other standard continental fare you’d expect (fruit, baked goods, cereal, etc). The shower temp and pressure was nice, and the room included an apartment-sized fridge and freezer. Lastly, I appreciated that the microwave was spotless! Where the hotel can easily improve is ensuring the floors, that are vinyl plank throughout, are mopped or steam cleaned between bookings. The room was starting to show its age in some areas cosmetically, but nothing grossly impacted our time in the room, just more of an observation. The sponge that left for cleaning dirty dishes looked like its best days were behind it, so again, another small check to complete between bookings. Though the temp outside during our stay hovered around and exceed 30°C, the pool water glacial-level cold .. not too sure anything could have been done about that but it was pretty intense before getting used to it! And lastly, like another reviewer commented, the butter was too hard to spread on the waffles . For what we paid, the Travelodge met our needs. Nice work!

This location is much nicer than the one in downtown. Spacious rooms, we got lucky to ask for the ground level suite, so closer to the buffet which is oddly around the corner, ken must walk outside to get to the room. The lobbyvl area has a separate lounge area too with sofa. One vending machine. Convenient off the highway, safe area, good for families.

Everything was excellent. I was shown rooms before I picked one. The staff were very professional. The room was excellent. I personally did not like breakfast as I expected the bacon and eggs , the did have a waffle maker so that was good. The staff were filling the food all the time. They only had wood cutlery so bring your own. Overall an excellent stay. They have outside pool did not have time to use it

Mine was a short stay, but I was impressed with the smooth check-in process - thanks to the option to provide some details in advance. The location is also convenient for me as it was easy to get back to Highway 1 to continue my journey.

The hotel is right off the highway and great value for the price. We arrived late in the evening and were pleased to find rooms available. Our room was spacious, quite clean and comfortable. We didn't stay for the complimentary breakfast (but have in the past, which was good). I would stay here again.
